Easter- Egging!
Easter-Egging is Meredith's new word. She wants to do it all the time - Easter, Halloween, Christmas, her Birthday, next Tuesday, etc.
Science Experiment Afternoon!
On a recent Saturday afternoon, it was raining and gross outside - we were trying to come up with a way to keep Meredith interested in a different way - we came up with science experiments.
Did you know that if you sprinkle black pepper on top of a bowl of water and then dip your finger covered with dish soap into the middle of the pepper the pepper runs away? It makes a very cool visual experiment - and you can do it over and over again. Meredith loved it. Only problem - I have no idea why what happens.
Then we experimented with a baking soda and vinegar volcano. Meredith had been interested in volcanoes at the time. We had been reading books and looking at pictures and this experiment was perfect. (Now she is interested in germs and she wants to be a shmientist (scientist) that studies germs when she grows up.)
Then we made slime. Pink slime. We followed the recipe from the grossology website. It was great. Very slimy.
I think I will plan another science experiment afternoon soon.

Fighting off the crankies.
Here we are fighting off the crankies. Every once in a while Wyatt gets a little cranky. When this happens he gets stuck in a sulky mood - kind of like a broken record - however, we have found that if we can change his environment or situation drastically we can help him snap out of it. Water works great.
Family Picnic
Our first family picnic as a family of four. We had sandwiches, strawberries and fun in 300 mile per hour winds.
Lots of Fun!

Three going on Thirteen
Overheard at the dinner table:
Ryan (reading Wyatt's shirt): M is for Mischief
Meredith: No. M is Meredith, Mama and Mimi
Ryan: M is also for Mischief
Meredith: No it's not
Kio: Yes it is Meredith
Ryan: Why do you always disagree with me?
Meredith: Because I'm smarter
Ryan: [Speechless with anger]
Kio: [Desparately trying but failing to contain laughter]
Meredith and Wyatt: [Knowingly nodding to each other]

Wyatt takes to Jumping.
Wyatt took to jumping right away. It was almost like he had been doing it his entire life. Which I believe he did quite a bit of in the womb.
What has Meredith been up to?
Some of this . . . - Some of that . . . - and a whole lot more . . .
Learning to ride her bike.
Finding and catching ladybugs.
Practicing for soccer.
Getting stronger and braver.
Learning to paint her nails.
Goofing around.
Striking a pose.
Practicing her numbers.
Getting carried away - on a regular basis.
Playing guitar.
Being a Super Girl!
Being strangely wonderful!

Wyatt . . . A 2009 Review! (well from November).
So, what has Wyatt Jonathan Fuller been up to since November 10, 2009 - the last time he made his presence known on our family blog.
Well, I will tell you. He has been growing up.
Wyatt had his 4 month check up last week. Our little boy is now 17lb 1oz and 26 1/4". He is at the 90th percentile for height and weight for boys 4 months old.
He now smiles, laughs out loud, he loves to stand on his legs a lot, he is sitting up for short periods of time, he puts everything he can grab in his mouth - including his feet which he found last week. He loves to drool ALL over the place - is he teething? He knocks everything he can to the floor and he is a champion jumper - he has been jumping for about a month now in Meredith's old jumper and the truth is that if I don't stop him he will jump forever. He loves his sister and is fond (laugh out loud fond) of slap stick humor. He is strong, smart and handsome. He is wonderful.

Soo, you are caught up all the way through the end of the year. Now, we start on 2010. Isn't he great?
Yes, We are still here!
Let's see . . . What happened to us since November 11, 2009. Happy New Year by the way!
Well, we woke up on November 12, 2009 and we did our normal stuff. We ate, we slept (as much as we could), we played . . . and then when we least expected it - Meredith came home with a little cold. Just a runny nose and some sneezing, no big deal right? Well, this little cold turned into a HUGE family challenge. Meredith's little runny nose turned into a 103 degree temp, with a huge cough that took Meredith almost a full 3 weeks to get over. Then Ryan got a cold, then Wyatt got a cold and that is when things started to get a little Hairy. Wyatt at less than two months old got a cold that put him 1 step away from the ER. Not fun. Then Mommy got a cold. Well, that took us through the second week of December. During this time nobody, esp. Mom, was getting much sleep. I was disinfecting the house everyday like a maniac and trying to stop all of us from getting sick again - with the same darned bug. So far so good.
Then we had Christmas to prepare for and celebrate. Then I had a workshop to prepare and present. Now I can breathe. So if you were wondering where we went - that is where we were.
Plus, nobody told me that 2 babies meant 4 times the work - what is with that. Esp. since Meredith is taking a little school break - while Wyatt gets a little older and we get past cold and flu season.
So, NO smart alack remarks about my lack of posts (Ryan) and here we go.
Love, Kio
